OnePlus 2 Gets Oxygen OS 3.1.0 Update With Quadrooter Patch

New OxygenOS 3.1.0 For OnePlus 2 - Finally the flagship killer is receiving Oxygen OS 3.1.0 update with 7 bug fixes and security patches. This roll-out will be incremental.

The security patches including implemented Quadrooter vulnerability patch that detailed in Defcon by the chief of mobile security at cyber security firm, Check Point, Adam Donenfeld last month. Previously, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge gets similar update in Europe.

One thing missing is VoLTE support that few people in the thread have noted. There is also no word on some of the camera bugs, but perhaps that is lumped into general fixes section in the OxygenOS 3.1.0 change-log.

So if you want to update your OnePlus 2 to latest OxygenOS, you can head to the it's official site to get the zip file (1.1 GB) or install ADB in your computer then sideload to update if you don't want to wait for the OTA.

Flashing Instructions

Get the software build for your device at the bottom of this page.

Plug your phone into your computer and copy the .zip file to your phone's storage.

Now reboot your phone into recovery mode. To do this, shut down your device and turn it back on while holding the power and volume down buttons simultaneously.

Choose "Install from local / Install from SD", find your .zip file and click on "Install" to confirm. See the attached image below for more details :

Wait a while, your phone should now update to the selected build and reboot automatically to take you into OxygenOS.
