Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Getting Security Update In Europe

Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge updates - The unlocked seventh generation of Galaxy S series including Edge models are apparently receiving security updates in Europe this September.

Refers the Dutch press, the incoming update carries the firmware version XXU1BPHJ, and has just started rolling out to factory-unlocked versions of the 2 premium Samsung devices.

Perhaps, the update is the patching up of the fourth and final Quadrooter vulnerability that was detailed in the DefCon security conference by the chief of mobile security at cyber security firm, Check Point, Adam Donenfeld last month.

Meanwhile, the three of the four vulnerability issues already patched up by Google and the final one was expected to be patched up this month.
